One of the nuances of having and maintaining a pet blog (http://kilikilishot.blogspot.com - please do visit and like the official fan page on http://www.facebook.com/kilikilishot if not for the entries, then do it for me. For friendship. Please? Lol) is that I often run out of interest to even bother opening my personal blog.
And it's not like I'm running out of things to write either-- there's the whole CJ Corona thing, my DOM-like fascination with innocent teenage girls in school uniforms and the latest food joints that have recently drawn my attention- Bon Chon is off the hook I tell you.
So allow me to write a couple of updates re my December wedding, where we are at the moment and who we're trying to get. If you have dealt with any of the suppliers listed below, or know anyone better (and reasonably priced), please feel free to leave a comment. Well-wishers are always welcome too. :)
1. Church - or chapel. There's a church near our venue, but after carefully considering the time (evening), day (Saturday), month (December), place (Quezon City area) and available parking within the area, we opted for the venue's built-in chapel.
2. Venue - is it time for the "big reveal?" No. Not yet. :) But much like the chapel, we've got this one on lock and I've already paid for half so we're as good as done.
3. Florist - Flowers of May. The first supplier that I will be naming for tonight's entry. There are other, better ones out in the market. But the venue only has a shortlist of accredited suppliers and we really love dealing with Ms. Liza. She's nice and replies on time in Engalog. That's big in my book. Anytime we can break the english barrier with a self-made professional who has every right to act like a snot nosed ass will always be a plus on my book.
4. Photo and video - Niceprint. Kyla and Rich. Regine and Ogie. Winy and Ainj. O di ba pwede? Charisse is also a frequent supplier where I work so I know we're in good hands. They gave us discounts too. :)
5. Couture - None yet. Ever head of SHEATHS by Boy Kastner Santos from Cavite? Saw some designs, the fiancee likes them. They're reasonably priced too. Will just have to drive her and the bridesmaids from Bulacan to Manila to Cavite and back though. Anyway, if you have any inside tips on this one, please let me know.
6. Make-up - Again, the fiancee's in charge of this one. Why would I be? If I had it my way, I'd be the one putting her make-up on her. Ultimate Warrior or Legion of Doom style. OOOOOOOHHHH... WWWWHHHHAAAATTTT AAAAA RRRRRRRUUUUSSSSSHHHH!!!! (90s WWF quote for you).
7. Caterer - We're down to two. Juan Carlos, whose food tasting I'll be attending on Saturday and Center Table, which we tried during the January expo here at the PICC. I love pastries. And Center Table had some really mean creampuffs.
8. Souvenirs/ give-aways - None yet. No idea. Mugs? I suggested ref magnets. The fiancee ignored my suggestion completely. Sigh.
9. Rings - Saudi gold! I want a simple, two tone design. The fiancee I believe wants something with more bling.
10. Hotel - Looking around for a QC hotel. Saw Sulo Riviera's rates. WOW. Didn't know they're at par with my employer's. Bet they aren't. But they are charging quite a lot huh? Heard there's another hotel somewhere in Katipunan. Anyone?
11. Coordinator - Since we're already doing much of the supplier hunting and dealings, I'm leaning towards just getting an OTD one. Heard Kath Lee of 168 Events is good. Saw that she's a friend of Fil-Chi events host Max Tiu so that probably makes them legit enough. I trust in Max despite meeting and working with him only once, he's pretty much a hands-on, OC perfectionist so whatever he endorses, I'll buy.
12. Wedding singer - SJT or Augustin Music and Events? I like SJT. They have two singers, the female being the better one. I already have a playlist in mind.
13. Theme - okay, I probably should've started with this. After weeks of arguing-- fiancee wanted Royal Blue, I wanted Gold, we now have our wedding colors. Blush pink and gold (with white of course).
Okay, did I leave anything out? For those of you who have already tied the knot, please feel free to throw me a life life and say "hey Ainj, gago ka talaga nakalimutan mo ung..."
:)
